World's Largest Strawberry

The World's Largest Strawberry is a 15-foot fiberglass sculpture standing in front of city hall in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Built in California and shipped to the Iowa town, it was hoisted into place on June 20, 1967, funded by $6,500 raised by the Strawberry Point Jaycees. A windstorm destroyed the original structure five months later, and it was re-erected in the spring of 1968. In early 2025 the sculpture was removed for a 49-day restoration to repair weather damage before being returned to its original 1967 appearance.
