World's Largest Pumpkin

The World's Largest Pumpkin is a million-gallon municipal water tower in Circleville, Ohio, built in 1976 and repainted in 1997 to resemble a giant pumpkin, complete with a decorative stem on top. The tower promotes the Circleville Pumpkin Show, a harvest festival that began in 1903 and now draws more than 400,000 visitors to the small city each October. Despite its name, the tower does not hold any actual record for pumpkins — it simply advertises the town's identity as a pumpkin-growing community. It remains one of the most recognizable water towers in the United States.
