Iron-on patch

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

$8.00

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a national memorial in Constitution Gardens, just northeast of the Lincoln Memorial, honoring U.S. service members who served in the Vietnam War. Its centerpiece is Maya Lin's wall of two polished black granite arms, each 246 feet long, one pointing to the Washington Monument and the other to the Lincoln Memorial. The wall carries the names of more than 58,000 Americans who died or remain missing, listed in the order of their casualty date; 57,939 names were carved at the 1982 dedication, and names are still added and corrected over time. The Three Soldiers statue was added in 1984 and the Vietnam Women's Memorial in 1993.
