Iron-on patch

Trinity Park

$8.00

Trinity Park is a large city park on the Clear Fork of the Trinity River just west of downtown Fort Worth, with City of Fort Worth park records listing it at 252 acres. Its lawns and riverbanks run along the water, and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden sits right beside it across University Drive. After a serious Trinity River flood in 1949 the river through Fort Worth was lined with levees, and in 1968 the Junior League of Fort Worth began a project to beautify the riverfront. That effort led to the first Mayfest here in 1973, a spring festival held on about 33 acres of the park that grew to draw around 200,000 people before going on hiatus in 2020. Today it is a free, everyday place to walk or run beside the river, picnic and spend an afternoon outdoors.
