The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is a railroad museum and heritage railroad in East Chattanooga, founded on August 11, 1961, by Paul H. Merriman and Robert M. Soule Jr. to preserve obsolete locomotives and rolling stock. Its excursion trains run on former Southern Railway right-of-way through the 986-foot Whiteside Tunnel under Missionary Ridge, between the East Chattanooga Depot and the Grand Junction station, where the museum opened an Exhibit Hall in 2021. The Soule Shops, built in 1982, restore and maintain vintage locomotives and cars, and the collection includes the Pullman sleeping car "Clover Colony", seen in the 1959 film Some Like It Hot. The museum is about 10 km (6 miles) east of downtown, the one stop in this collection you cannot walk to, so you need a car or a rideshare to get there.
