Santa Claus House is a Christmas-themed gift shop and roadside attraction on the outskirts of Fairbanks, Alaska, in the town of North Pole. Conrad Miller opened it as a trading post along the highway in 1952, and the building doubled as North Pole's first post office for nearly two decades. A towering fiberglass Santa Claus statue stands outside, and the store keeps a small herd of reindeer on the property. The shop is best known for its letters-from-Santa program, which mails personalized replies, postmarked North Pole, to children around the world.
