Iron-on patch

Saguaro National Park

$8.00

Saguaro National Park protects Sonoran Desert landscapes and the giant saguaro cactus in two separate districts on either side of Tucson, Arizona. The Tucson Mountain District lies about 10 miles west of the city and the larger Rincon Mountain District about 10 miles east, together covering roughly 92,000 acres. President Herbert Hoover created the original Saguaro National Monument in the Rincon Mountains in 1933, President John F. Kennedy added the Tucson Mountain District in 1961, and Congress made the two a national park in 1994. The park has about 165 miles of trails, paved scenic roads near its two visitor centers, and elevations from 2,180 feet to 8,666 feet at the summit of Mica Mountain.
