Romare Bearden Park

$8.00

Romare Bearden Park is a 5.4-acre public park at 300 South Church Street in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. It is named for Romare Bearden, the collage artist who was born in Charlotte in 1911, and it opened in late August 2013. Supervising artist Norie Sato based the design on Bearden's collages and paintings. The park has two gardens, a courtyard of dining tables on crushed granite, a formal event lawn, a play area with interactive digital chimes and several waterfalls. It sits across the street from Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights.
