Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site

$8.00

Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is a city-owned living history museum and farm at the east edge of Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Interpreters in period clothing show daily life in the Pikes Peak region from 1775 to about 1910 across six areas: an American Indian area covering 1775 to 1835, an 1860s homestead cabin, an 1880s homestead garden, the 1874 Rock Ledge House, an 1890s blacksmith shop and a 1907 Edwardian country estate. Visitors can watch and try cooking, laundry and other chores, and the working blacksmith shop, barn, horses, chickens, sheep and a cow keep it a real farm. The grounds are free and open year-round from dawn to dusk, while the historic buildings open for summer programs and special events. The ranch is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and draws more than 100,000 visitors a year.
