Iron-on patch

Philadelphia Museum of Art

$8.00

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is an art museum originally chartered in 1876 for the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Its main building was completed in 1928 on Fairmount, the hill at the northwest end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at Eakins Oval, and its collections hold more than 240,000 objects, with major holdings of European, American and Asian art. The 72 stone steps up to the museum's east entrance became world famous as the Rocky Steps after Rocky Balboa's training run in the 1976 film Rocky, and visitors still run up them to recreate the scene. The 10-foot bronze Rocky statue made for Rocky III, displayed for years near the foot of the steps, was moved permanently to the top of the steps in 2026, and a statue of Joe Frazier now stands in its former spot.
