Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is a state park in Monterey County, California, near Big Sur on the state's Central Coast. It covers roughly 1,006 acres centered on the Big Sur River, and has been nicknamed a 'mini Yosemite' for its steep valley walls. Part of its natural area is old-growth forest recognized by the Old-Growth Forest Network. A redwood in the park known as the Colonial Tree is estimated to be between 1,100 and 1,200 years old.
