Natural Falls State Park

Natural Falls State Park, near West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, protects Dripping Springs Falls, a roughly 77-foot waterfall set in a lush, narrow box canyon unusual for the surrounding Oklahoma terrain. The falls and canyon served as a filming location for the 1974 movie adaptation of 'Where the Red Fern Grows,' based on the well-known novel by Wilson Rawls. A boardwalk and overlook allow visitors to view the falls from above the canyon. The park's spring-fed, moss-covered setting feels notably different from the surrounding open countryside.
