National Mustard Museum

The National Mustard Museum in Middleton, Wisconsin displays more than 5,600 prepared mustards from over 60 countries alongside mustard-themed memorabilia and history exhibits. It was founded by Barry Levenson, a former Wisconsin assistant attorney general, who began collecting mustard jars in 1986 after the Boston Red Sox lost the 1986 World Series. The museum opened its doors in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin in 1992, moved to a larger space there in 2000, and relocated to its current Middleton location in 2009. Admission is free, and visitors can sample mustards from a rotating case in the gift shop.
