Mabry Mill

Mabry Mill is a watermill at milepost 176.2 of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, just north of Meadows of Dan. Edwin Boston Mabry began building it in 1903; it worked first as a blacksmith and wheelwright shop, then as a sawmill, and was running as a gristmill by 1905. Originally a private working mill, it is now operated by the National Park Service. A short trail circles the mill past the gristmill, sawmill and blacksmith shop, with exhibits on rural Virginia life.
