Iron-on patch

Lake Eola Park

$8.00

Lake Eola Park is a public park in downtown Orlando, Florida, built around Lake Eola, a 23-acre lake that formed in a sinkhole about 80 feet deep. A 0.9-mile path circles the water, and the fountain in the middle of the lake, rebuilt in 1957 and renamed the Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain in 1966, is an official symbol of the city and changes color at night. Jacob Summerlin offered the land around the lake to Orlando in 1883 on condition that it be made into a park, and the area was officially declared a park in 1892. The Walt Disney Amphitheater on the west shore hosts concerts and community events, a Chinese pagoda stands on the east side, and the Orlando Farmers Market sets up in the park every Sunday.
