Iron-on patch

Koke'e State Park

$8.00

Koke'e State Park sits at roughly 3,600 feet elevation on Kauai, adjacent to Waimea Canyon State Park, where cooler temperatures support native koa and 'ohi'a forest rather than the tropical vegetation found at sea level. Overlooks near the end of the park road, including the Kalalau and Pu'u o Kila lookouts, offer sweeping views down into the remote Kalalau Valley on the Na Pali Coast. The Koke'e Natural History Museum near park headquarters covers the area's ecology and hiking trails. Each October the park hosts a hula festival honoring Queen Emma's 19th-century journey through the region.
