J.P. Coleman State Park

J.P. Coleman State Park sits on Pickwick Lake, a Tennessee River reservoir built by the Tennessee Valley Authority, in the far northeastern corner of Mississippi near Iuka. It is named for James P. Coleman, a former governor of Mississippi and later a federal judge. The park's cabins and campground overlook the lake, which is popular for boating and fishing where Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee meet. Its location in Mississippi's hill country gives it more elevation change than much of the rest of the state.
