Hammonasset Beach State Park

$8.00

Hammonasset Beach State Park, in Madison, Connecticut, is the state's largest shoreline state park, with roughly two miles of beach along Long Island Sound. Its Meigs Point Nature Center overlooks a salt marsh and tidal estuary that supports a range of shorebirds and marine life. The park is one of Connecticut's most popular camping destinations, with a large campground set back from the beach. Its long, open shoreline makes it a significant swimming and sunbathing spot on an otherwise rocky Connecticut coast.
