Gooseberry Falls State Park

Gooseberry Falls State Park, near Two Harbors, Minnesota, is one of the most visited parks in the state, set along the scenic North Shore Drive above Lake Superior. The Gooseberry River drops through a series of waterfalls, generally referred to as the Upper, Middle, and Lower Falls, just before reaching the lake. Its visitor center and other stone structures were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The falls are a popular photography destination year-round, including in winter when spray freezes into dramatic ice formations.
