Iron-on patch

Golden Gate Park

$8.00

Golden Gate Park is an urban park between the Richmond and Sunset districts on the West Side of San Francisco. At 1,017 acres (412 ha) it is the largest park in the city, stretching about three miles from the Haight to Ocean Beach, and it is one of the most visited urban parks in the United States. Engineer William Hammond Hall designed it in a Central Park style, and it opened in 1870 on land that was largely sand dunes. The park holds the de Young Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers and two Dutch-style windmills, and part of its natural area is old-growth forest recognized by the Old-Growth Forest Network.
