Emma Prusch Farm Park

$8.00

Emma Prusch Farm Park is a working farm park of about 43 acres in East San Jose. Emma Prusch deeded her dairy farm to the City of San Jose in 1962, asking that the land keep the country feeling of the old Santa Clara Valley, and 47 acres of it were dedicated as the farm park. The park holds San Jose's largest free-standing barn, where 4-H and Future Farmers of America members raise livestock, along with the preserved Prusch farmhouse, community gardens and a rare-fruit orchard of more than 125 trees planted with the California Rare Fruit Growers. About six acres are farmed by Veggielution, a community farm, and the park hosts an annual Harvest Festival.
