Denali State Park

Denali State Park lies along the George Parks Highway south of Denali National Park, near Talkeetna, Alaska. Its Kesugi Ridge trail offers some of the best unobstructed views of Denali, North America's highest peak at 20,310 feet, without the crowds found in the national park itself. The Chulitna and Susitna Rivers run through the park's lowlands, and its forest and tundra terrain support moose, bears, and other wildlife. Because it borders the national park, it's often used as a quieter alternative for viewing the same mountain.
