Iron-on patch

Chinatown

$8.00

San Francisco's Chinatown, centered on Grant Avenue and Stockton Street, is the oldest Chinatown in North America and one of the largest Chinese enclaves outside Asia. It is also the oldest and largest of the four notable Chinese enclaves within San Francisco. Since its establishment in the early 1850s, it has been central to the history and culture of Chinese immigrants in North America. After the 1906 earthquake and fire destroyed the neighborhood, it was rebuilt in the pagoda-roofed style that defines Grant Avenue today. It remains a living enclave with its own customs, languages, temples, family associations and social clubs, and it is one of the city's most visited neighborhoods.
