Ben & Jerry's Flavor Graveyard

The Flavor Graveyard is a small hillside next to Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, Vermont, laid out with carved granite headstones for ice cream flavors the company has discontinued over the years. Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield founded the company in a renovated Burlington gas station in 1978, and built the Waterbury factory in 1985, opening it to public tours in 1986. As flavors have been retired from the lineup over the following decades, the company has marked many of them with a real headstone and a short, tongue-in-cheek epitaph on the graveyard grounds next to the factory.
