Bear Brook State Park

Bear Brook State Park, in Allenstown, is one of the largest developed state parks in southern New Hampshire. Much of its infrastructure, including cabins, a dam, and picnic shelters, was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, and many of those structures survive and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The park is centered on several ponds and crossed by an extensive network of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails. It also hosts small museums covering the CCC's work and the region's natural history.
